CertiK Receives Additional $60 Million in Funding, from SoftBank

It's only been two weeks since closing our B3 round of funding, and here we are again sharing more exciting news around funding. We are pleased to announce an additional 60millionUSDinvestmentfromSoftBankVisionFund2andTigerGlobal,bringingthetotalamountinvestedto60 million USD investment from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Tiger Global, bringing the total amount invested to290 million.

We can’t begin to thank our investors for their support in CertiK, and in further confirming our leadership in the Web3 and blockchain security space. Thank you!

The news comes as a nice surprise for CertiK employees, and brings added encouragement on our mission to secure the Web3 world. Demand for industry-leading blockchain security continues to remain high in 2022. Such demand is fueled by an upward trend in major cryptocurrency hacks. Within just the first quarter of this year, the industry experienced over 1billionincryptocurrencylossesduetofourmajorbridgeattacks,andover1 billion in cryptocurrency losses due to four major bridge attacks, and over200 million in various flash loan attacks.

CertiK’s addition of Softbank to the investor list is further validation of the importance of Web3 and blockchain security, and the growing problem around cryptocurrency hacks in this industry. SoftBank further amplified this statement, and our mission, through the following quote:

“Adoption of Web3 is booming, but concerns around security are holding it back from reaching its full potential”, said Dennis Chang, Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers. “We believe CertiK combines deep expertise in cybersecurity, blockchains, and systems verification to provide companies with a leading solution in blockchain security and auditing. We are delighted to partner with Professor Gu and the team to support their mission of securing the Web3 world”.

CertiK’s response is to continue building more innovative and data-driven security products to address these Web3 problems through products and services like: Security Leaderboard, KYC, Code Auditing, and 24/7 threat monitoring.

We want to thank SoftBank and Tiger Global for this investment and our community of followers for their support. We look forward to sharing more exciting news in the future.
