It also features a KYC ranking system with gold, silver, and bronze levels that offer insight into the KYC process results. This allows investors to quickly identify the most trustworthy projects while maintaining anonymity for project team members.
CertiK takes confidentiality and privacy seriously as part of the KYC process. None of the information displayed on the KYC project profiles includes personally identifiable information (PII).
About CertiK’s KYC Badge
Our rigorous KYC process begins with a founder interview and collecting key team members’ personal information, including their name, address, date of birth, and other details. We then use advanced technologies and methods to verify this information, including cross-referencing with public databases and conducting manual checks where necessary. Our team also uses AI-powered tools to detect any fraudulent activities or fake documents.
Once we have verified the team’s identity, we store their information securely and confidentially, protecting it from any potential data breaches or cyber attacks. We also regularly update our KYC process to remain effective against new and evolving forms of fraud, including ongoing monitoring of customer accounts and transactions for suspicious activities.
To date, only one CertiK KYC-verified project has caused harm to investors. We have been working in close coordination with law enforcement partners, who are actively pursuing the responsible individuals thanks in part to the information collected during the KYC badge process.
