Gate Wallet Integrates CertiK Skynet Scores Into Its Earn Platform

Gate's Web3 Wallet now displays CertiK Skynet Scores directly within its Earn product pages, giving users on-chain security intelligence at the point of investment decision-making.

The integration surfaces CertiK's Skynet Skynet Scores inside the Protocol tab of each Earn product, covering lending, staking, and liquidity pool opportunities across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and other supported networks. Users no longer need to leave the Gate Web3 app or manually look up a protocol's security posture before committing capital.

Why This Matters

DeFi yield products aggregate opportunities from dozens of protocols, and users often interact with protocols they haven't independently researched. Embedding security data at the point of decision removes friction from the due diligence process and helps users distinguish between well-audited protocols and those with weaker security profiles.

How It Works

When a user browses Earn products in Gate Web3 and selects an opportunity, they can tap the Protocol tab to view details about the underlying protocol, including a description, TVL, and runtime. Below the protocol overview, a Security Score section now appears, powered by CertiK.

Chart 1

The summary view shows the protocol's composite score out of 100, along with a risk classification (e.g., "Low Risk"). Tapping into the score expands the full CertiK Skynet breakdown across six dimensions: Code Security, Operations, Market Activity, Governance, Community, and Fundamentals.

This gives users access to the same protocol-level security insights that institutions and researchers rely on, surfaced right where it matters most: before they commit funds. Rather than requiring users to leave the app and cross-reference external security tools, the integration brings continuous, real-time risk assessment directly into the yield selection flow.

The same integration appears across all Earn products.

CertiK Skynet: What Powers the Score

The Security Score displayed in Gate Web3 is generated by CertiK's Skynet platform, which continuously monitors and evaluates blockchain projects across multiple dimensions.

  • Code Security assesses the quality and audit coverage of a protocol's smart contracts, including whether critical vulnerabilities have been identified and resolved.
  • Operations evaluates the project team's operational maturity, including incident response history, upgrade practices, and access control mechanisms.
  • Market Activity tracks on-chain liquidity, trading volume patterns, and token distribution to flag potential manipulation or concentration risks.
  • Governance examines how decisions are made within the protocol, including voting participation, proposal frequency, and the distribution of governance power.
  • Community measures organic engagement and developer activity across social channels and code repositories.
  • Fundamentals captures the project's overall health, including tokenomics, whitepaper quality, and founding team transparency.

Each dimension scores independently, and the composite score reflects a weighted aggregation. Scores update in real time as on-chain conditions change, meaning users see a current risk assessment rather than a point-in-time audit result. Skynet monitors over 15,000 projects across major blockchains, processing on-chain data, social signals, and governance activity to maintain up-to-date scoring.

For users browsing yield opportunities in Gate Web3, this means every Earn product comes with a built-in security check backed by the same data infrastructure used by exchanges, funds, and regulators.
